Jumping Castle!!

The St Ives Heritage Fair is held on the first Sunday of every month.  The kids love going for the jumping castles, big slide, pony rides, face painting, trampolines with harnesses for doing backflips, decorating cupcakes, checking out the tutus and batman capes, etc…  loads of fun … and it even tires them out so Mummy can have a rest in the afternoon!  I snapped this pic when they were playing on the jumping castle.

Manly Inflatable Boat Race

So – were you there, or did you sleep in?

Gorgeous day to be out and about early – fun race to watch!

Midday at the Skillion

Sydney has been throwing me some foul weather lately, so I headed up the coast to shoot.  Ended up at the Skillion at Terrigal after midday and thought I would try it out with a polarizer filter on.  Something different from the pink hues I have been shooting at dawn and dusk.  The ocean was so bright under the sunlight, it can be different shooting in these conditions, but something to master…

Anyone for a swim..?

Spring is definitely here!  I went down to Manly yesterday for lunch and a walk to Shelley Beach – the weather was just perfect, no cool wind or scolding sun.  A clear blue sky and pristine waters – tempting enough to go for a dip or kayak…if only I had packed my bikini!  Next time…

Somersby Falls

After a night of rain, it seemed like a good idea to head out and shoot a waterfall for my portfolio.  I headed up to Somersby Falls on the Central Coast.  It was slippery getting down to the falls, but well worth the hike.

This photo is a single shot taken at 11:07am, ISO200, 1.3sec, f/13, 43mm on a Canon 5D Mark II, Canon L Series 24-70mm lens with a polarizer filter on.

I think I will be shooting some more waterfalls in the weeks to come, they are beautiful, I can shoot during the day and its something different.
